Geometric Sculpture

This project focused on creating an abstract geometric sculpture using card as the main material, exploring form, structure, and balance through simple shapes. The aim was to design a piece that felt visually strong and sculptural while relying purely on geometric construction rather than detailed surface decoration.

I used card to build a series of angular forms that connected together to create a balanced abstract composition. The design was influenced by sharp lines, layered shapes, and the relationship between positive and negative space, allowing the structure to feel both solid and open at the same time. To strengthen the sculpture and give it a clean, finished appearance, I sealed the entire piece using water-activated packing tape. This added durability while creating a smooth surface that unified the form.
